Mythic Battles: Pantheon — When Mythology Comes to the Convention
The International Convention of Games & History in Budapest is delighted to welcome Rudolf Bocskay, a passionate gamer and collector, who will introduce visitors to a world where titans, gods, heroes and mythical creatures take to the battlefield.
For the occasion, Rudolf will be presenting Mythic Battles: Pantheon, with one or two gaming tables where visitors will be able to discover the game, learn how it works and, why not, take part in a few mythological battles themselves.
Gods and heroes on the battlefield
Published by Monolith, Mythic Battles: Pantheon brings the world of Greek mythology to the tabletop. Gods, heroes, legendary creatures and warriors face one another in tactical battles where every decision can make a difference.
The game combines detailed miniatures with a tactical combat system, allowing players to assemble forces and combine the abilities of different gods, heroes and units.
But at the Convention, the experience will be about more than simply playing the game.
Rudolf will also present part of his personal collection, giving visitors the opportunity to discover the richness and visual appeal of this universe: gods, heroes, monsters and legendary creatures brought to life through spectacular miniatures.
A Taste of Mythology — and The Odyssey
It is hard to talk about Greek mythology in 2026 without thinking about its renewed presence in popular culture.
With The Odyssey, his highly anticipated epic inspired by Homer's legendary poem, Christopher Nolan is also bringing Greek mythology back into the spotlight.
So it felt only natural for the Convention to make room for this extraordinary world of heroes, gods, monsters and epic adventures.
Of course, mythology is not history — and that is precisely what makes this encounter so interesting within a Convention dedicated to Games & History.
We are certainly not presenting Mythic Battles: Pantheon as a historical reconstruction. A game is a game: it draws freely on a mythological heritage that is thousands of years old to create a spectacular, fantastic and deeply entertaining gaming experience.
And that is perfectly in keeping with the spirit of the Convention: exploring the many ways in which the past — whether historical or legendary — continues to inspire our imagination and the games we play.

One or two tables will be available for demonstrations and games throughout the Convention.
