To mark the 70th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, Budapest will host an international convention dedicated to historical games, combining games, history and culture in an approach that is both playful and commemorative.

Ottó Fogarasi
Ottó Fogarasi is a Hungarian social educator based in Turin. His method is based on experiential learning, using board games to develop social skills. He offers tailor-made interventions focused on cooperation and decision-making.
Game Designer
Luc Olivier
Luc Olivier is a historian and game designer with extensive experience in historical wargames. He has designed commercial games for Vae Victis magazine and will present his new co-creation on Budapest 1956.
Jack of All Trades
Frédéric Poncelet
A former soldier and current investigator on humanitarian law, Frédéric Poncelet offers an insightful perspective on geopolitics, bridges history and strategy, and explores the world of gaming.

Vae Victis is the leading French bimonthly magazine, founded in 1995, dedicated to wargames and miniature wargaming. It is available in standalone editions or with a complete game included as an insert, published by Cérigo Editions.

The collaboration with the Convention is so extensive that issue 189 will focus heavily on the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, featuring the game "Budapest 1956: Those of Corvin" by Luc Olivier and Michaël Lefebvre as an insert.
